My name is Marianna, I am a yoga teacher, a gardener, a writer and a seeker. This blog is an outpouring of my heart desire to share thoughts, ideas and inspirations.
A little more about me…
I teach yoga and I study yoga, I am passionate about natural movement and deepening into the felt sense of being truly present in the body. I believe that all bodies have the ability to thrive, and that the intelligence of the body is our greatest asset. If we can learn to listen. Yoga is a healing force for anyone who wishes to step onto the path and I am excited to share my experiences in teaching and in learning here. I am available to teach private and group classes in the Portland Oregon area, as well as offering workshops. Contact me if you would like to study with me or find out more about my offerings.
I believe in conscious living, being in harmony with life, knowing our place in the order of things, a piece of the whole, a small part of a large miracle. I believe that the human journey is one of re- learning much that was known before and has been lost to us. I am dedicated to rewilding my life and my mind. This process will continually unfold to deeper levels. It involves choosing to see what is hidden in plain sight, right in front of our eyes. Cultural conditioning, assumption and perceptions are questioned, and in fact, little is as it seems. I dig for a deeper truth. I will share what I am learning along the way.
I love food. I love growing food. I love eating food. I love talking about food! I am an avid organic gardener with a keen interest in permaculture practices. Gardening is the best way to bring local, healthy food into my kitchen and into the bellies of the ones I love. It is cheaper than therapy and at least somewhat less expensive! I find cooking meals to be soothing and I love planning menus and coming up with new recipes and creations. I am passionate about nutrition and food healing and the power of fermentation. I will share recipes, gardening tips, woes and all things related to my food and water practices here.
I believe in community. I believe we need each other to survive and thrive. I believe in the wealth of the commons and the power of human connection. I believe that love is greater than fear and will always win. I want to share my knowledge and skills and I want to learn from yours. If I can be of service to you please reach out to me. Together we can become the beloved community, and it will be so beautiful…
Let us stand in the service of love together!
